I have setup the static page as per the process of creating 2 pages etc… but when i try to make the homepage static the page shows up as blank…

I see it’s now working and I see blog posts, looks like you are using it as a blog page again, regarding your problem, the theme is designed to be a blog page and first of all its blog oriented theme, that’s why you see nothing on the content area, in this case, you have to populate the page with your content
