Change Image Header Size and Overlay text on Header Image

Hi there. Love this theme. My only problem is I need to change the size of the header image from the suggested 1600 x 460 to 1094 x 506. It is stretching my image and making it soft and fuzzy. Also I’d like to overlay the page title over the header image itself (or featured image would be fine too). Can you point me in a direction for these please?
