Author to Show With Date and Category (Post Meta?)

Hello,

I’m trying to produce an author byline with the category and date produced on each post and subsequently in each widget which showing posts.
A.) Is this a feature already built in Newspaper X that I’m just missing? (If not then)
B.) Is it possible to do this via CSS, so I don’t have to install child theme?

I elated for further collaboration and thank you for a beautiful template!

Please go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Blog Settings and enable the Author Info Section.

the Author Info Section is on, turning it on/off seems to effect nothing on either the front page or blog posts pages. Website is CochiseCountyRecord.com

I am most of the way through figuring it out. I just need a reference to the author in CSS.

Here’s what I have so far:

Hey htmlghozt, did you ever figure this out? I am trying to have it set up on my website so that the author byline is automatically displayed at the top instead of just at the bottom with the author box.
