I’m using Sparkling theme on my blog and would like to know how to display the category next to comments count on homepage like it is displayed on single post ?
For now only post date and comment count are displayed under article title on the homepage.

You can try achieving this by using the attached custom child theme of Sparkling theme that contains some custom code.

@pritchoutdoors this is a very old ticket, probably same code will not work because of the updates, to achieve the same you need to customize the template
