Horse Club Template - Modal Window

(1) Has anyone used the Horse Club template from ColorLib?
(2) If so, I am trying to find a way to create a modal window within the template (that I can activate on button click to darken the background and publish image and text content over top).

The mobile menu feature appears to be a modal (already incorporated into the template)

I am looking for a way to remove the menu functionality, and simply use the modal (and add content)

This is an HTML template, so, everything is possible here, it all depends on your knowledge of the HTML, CSS, and JS
