An image and then the text on the side.
Is this possible.

I have installed the plugin Elementor but i can not make any changes to the homepage featured posts.
My question is does the Travelify theme allow the homepage to be changed? When I go in Dashboard - Pages - Home I get a pop up text. See attached
I do really appreciate any guidance to how to make these changes.

By default changing the homepage like you want it is not possible, you have to either customize the original template or use third-party plugins, but in case of third party plugins you have to know how they are working and how to use them, please check their documentation for this,
Most probably you have to create new homepage page, design it with page builder and then assign it as a homepage from settings > reading
